Natural Gas Pipeline

CenterPoint Energy constructed an approximately 16.7 mile long, 20-inch diameter natural gas pipeline through the cities of Andover, Coon Rapids, Fridley, and Minneapolis. MN, to provide a source of natural gas to the Xcel Energy Riverside Power Plant as part of the plans to convert from coal to natural gas and substantially reduce air emissions. Existing infrastructure and utility coordination was critical throughout the project corridor and over 17 unique crossings required auger bore and HDD design and installation methods.
