Our client detected a significant leak in a critical water supply line (feed water to the water treatment plant) with most of the watermain being located under existing buildings. LHB designed a new 30-inch diameter watermain so that maximum construction could be completed with the old watermain in place and minimal watermain tie-ins needing to be completed during a scheduled outage. Design work included extensive routing around existing pipes and structures and inserting pipe supports in tight quarters.
